Abuja United to grow This video covers the infrastructural development goals of the FCT government. My treatment was to bring each development idea to life by animating and modeling what the future structures might look like and blending the models with photos and actors. The actors were recorded on Green screen and then composited into each scene. The 3d animation was outsourced to Bluehouse Cape Town. Abuja is a difficult place to shoot even with the right permits, as it seems to be a legacy in the culture for people to act very uptight about people photographing or videoing, almost every shot involved dealing with crazy men (security guards or police) and their AK47 rifles waiving in my face. In the end I over came the challenges faced to produce such a video in Nigeria. This project was a test of all my disciplines, Video Photography, Compositing, Creative Direction, Music Production, and Audio Mixing ( and loads of politics ).
